After making my daughter a quilt, I decided to make a quilted memory board to go in her room. Using leftover material from the quilt, I made 4 quilt blocks. As the base I used a 16×20 framed canvas, then covered it with quilt batting to make it plush-like. Finally, I added the top layer of the quilted material then stapled it to the back of the canvas.
The next tricky part was to stretch ribbon across the top (securing them on the back with staples) and using buttons to secure the cross-over sections. Making your own Memory Board is honestly not difficult, this is my second one, and I see myself making more as they are needed. If you have ever thought of making one you should give it a try.
