My husband found some amazing Apple Chips at a local restaurant and that got my creative juices turning. I decided I wanted to try making my own at home, where I could control the ingredients.

I started with fresh red apples I found at my local Japanese grocery.

  
Using my pampered chef simple slicer on setting 2 I went to work making slices.

  
I arranged the slices on my Large Bar Pan stoneware.

  
I sprinkled them with a dusting of cinnamon.

  
I baked them in a preheated 225 degree oven for 1 hour.

The end result was delicious and a healthy snack my husband and daughters loved.
