After my success with the breakfast sausage I decided to try my hand at an Italian sausage.

I started the same way with boneless pork chops.

I cut the chops into strips that could easily go through the grinder.

My grinder attaches to my Kitchenaid stand mixer.

Once the meat was ground I added my Italian seasonings.

I added the following ingredients to the 1.5 lb ground pork:

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp Rosemary herb rub

1 tsp Sweet Basil Rub

1 tsp Sun dried Tomato Herb Rub

I hand mixed the meat mixture and set it aside to use with any future Italian dish I choose.

If prepped in larger batches and frozen for future use this can be a money saver.
